Just by running upon the earth,
We end up killing countless tiny insects and microorganisms.
Whether it be plants or animals, we must consume other lives to survive.
Should we then think, “Since we can’t avoid killing anyway, let’s just eat everything except humans to be fair”?
If so, it would also make sense to say, “Since we can’t help everyone anyway, let’s just help no one to be fair.”
Is loving and caring only for cats a form of discrimination against mice?
Then, does liking the color yellow mean you are discriminating against other colors?
We have no choice but to choose what to cherish.
And the scope of that care can continue to expand.
